This Anime Last Stand tier list is what I built after grinding Update 84 since it dropped February 20 — every new unit tested, every reworked unit re-evaluated, and the new LastStandian rarity properly placed against the rest of the roster. The meta has shifted hard since the Valentine’s wave landed.
Here’s what I’m covering:
- Every relevant unit ranked LastStandian / S+ / S / A / B / C / D
- A separate breakdown for support units, money farmers, and stallers
- The Update 84 reworks that genuinely moved tier (six units affected)
- Which Godly units to summon for and which to skip
- The starter-friendly picks you should actually invest gems in
I learned the hard way that summoning on every banner is the fastest way to feel broke and behind. I burned 80,000 gems chasing the Christmas event last December and ended up with three off-banner units I’d never deploy. Save your gems for confirmed S+ banner returns or LastStandian releases — that’s where the value lives.
Table of Contents
How These Tiers Are Structured
Quick framework before the tables. ALS doesn’t have a clean tier system the way fighting games do — there’s a community-tested ranking from the official Discord (credit to @antons.bell, @radinal_, @kschmidtk, @masa0., @nyaq, @kirby., @pxmc, @zeri4, @vag11tsir, @xenos8568) plus splits between Meta (Top 15) and Sub-Meta (Top 30) units.
Three filters drive these placements:
- Raid and infinite mode performance — the hardest content, where stat ceilings matter
- Story and Legend mode efficiency — clear speed and resource cost
- Versatility across modes — Survival, Dungeons, Final Expedition, Boss Rush, Spiral Trials, Breach, Portal, and Coronation all use different team requirements
Everyone is rated assuming standard Technique investment (no rainbow trait farming) and best-in-slot evolution. Specific traits like Conquered or Limited still bump units up — I’ll flag when those matter.
The Update 84 rebalance leaned into rewarding hybrid kits (DPS + Support) and nerfing pure single-target damage. That single rule is why some old meta picks like solo damage attackers slid down a tier this patch.
LastStandian Tier: The One Unit Above Everything Else
The new top rarity introduced in Update 84 sits above Godly. Currently only one unit holds it.
| Unit | Tier | Role | Why It’s Here |
|---|---|---|---|
| Boku (TUI) | LastStandian | DPS / Buffer | Domain expansion, infinite scaling, top of every Top 15 |
Boku (TUI) — short for “The Ultimate Item” — is the most overtuned unit ALS has ever shipped. The kit grants domain expansion abilities that scale infinitely, the highest base DPS in the game, and team-wide buffs for everyone in his radius. There’s no mode where Boku isn’t the first deploy.
The catch: he’s locked behind the LastStandian summon rate, which is the lowest pull rate in the game. If you don’t have him, don’t restructure your team around hoping you’ll get him. Build around the S+ tier and treat Boku as a wishlist target.
I will say — once you actually pull Boku, he completely changes how you play raids. The infinite scaling means he ramps up wave by wave, so the longest fights are where he hits hardest. He single-handedly carried me through Final Expedition rotations I’d been failing for two months.
Anime Last Stand S+ Tier: The Meta Top 15
These are the units defining endgame content right now. Pull priority order if you don’t have Boku (TUI).
| Unit | Tier | Role | Why They’re Here |
|---|---|---|---|
| Itadoki (Shrine) | S+ | DPS / Domain | Domain expansion, battlefield control |
| Angelist (Deity) | S+ | Support | Heal + damage amp + CC, mandatory for raids |
| Ulquiorra (Tercera) | S+ | DPS | Highest pure DPS ceiling, scales with waves |
| Devil & Spirit | S+ | DPS / Hybrid | Dual-unit mechanic, unmatched flexibility |
| Maki & Yuta | S+ | DPS + Support combo | Yuta’s Unlimited Swords stalls, Maki amps DPS |
| Rias & Issei | S+ | Buffer Duo | +120% damage, -45% SPA, 2 random DoTs |
| Haumea | S+ | DPS | Among the highest single-unit DPS in the game |
| Shimon (Supreme Commander) | S+ | DPS / Buffer | Versatile damage + buffs, Update 77 staple |
| Ancient Vampire (Over Heaven) | S+ | DPS | Still dominant despite power creep |
| Nature’s Scientist | S+ | DPS / AoE | Best AoE coverage, Boku’s preferred partner |
| Time Goddess | S+ | Support | Buff synergy specialist, pairs with Boku |
| Itadoki (Six-Eyes) | S+ | DPS | Alt-form Itadoki, raw damage focus |
| Beast Gohan | S+ | DPS | Aged in well, Saiyan-archetype damage |
| Goku (UI) | S+ | DPS | Ultra Instinct evolution, top single-target |
| Android 67 | S+ | Tank-DPS Hybrid | Survival mode king, durability + damage |
Itadoki (Shrine) is the unit I’d recommend for anyone who has at least 50,000 gems saved and missed Boku (TUI). His domain expansion controls entire battlefields and his team-wide buffs multiply ally damage. He’s the cleanest “second-best unit in the game” pick.
Maki & Yuta as a duo unit is genuinely game-changing for the hardest stages. Yuta’s Unlimited Swords ability stalls enemies near-infinitely, which lets Maki’s Sumo Stance keep stacking damage buffs. Pair them with an Extinguish unit and you maximize DPS in ways no other combo allows.
Rias & Issei is the buffer duo I see most underrated. The +120% damage and -45% SPA (Speed Per Attack reduction) is a massive multiplier on your team’s effective DPS. They’re not damage dealers — they’re a force multiplier for everyone around them. Slot them next to Haumea or Ulquiorra and watch numbers fly.
Ancient Vampire (Over Heaven) staying in S+ despite being one of the older Godlys is the kind of staying power most ALS units don’t have. He’s been here for months and the power creep hasn’t pushed him out.
Anime Last Stand Sub-Meta S Tier: Top 30 Picks
These units don’t define the absolute meta but they clear all endgame content comfortably and most are easier to acquire than S+ picks.
| Unit | Tier | Role | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bombi | S | Early DPS / AoE | New meta early unit, low cost, full AoE |
| Mid | S | DPS / Hemorrhage | Cancels regen, replaces older meta options |
| Yoruichi | S | Bullet DPS | Valentine wave headliner, just behind top meta |
| Eisen | S | Overall DPS | Major Update 84 buff, multiple modes |
| Eyes | S | DPS / Utility | Substantially improved post-rework |
| Irwin | S | Support | Top meta support, just behind elite |
| Karumi | S | DPS / Multi-mode | Versatile across content types |
| Itadoki (Shrine, base form) | S | DPS | Drops a tier without max evolution |
| Maki (solo) | S | DPS | Strong without Yuta, but the duo is S+ |
| Yoichi | S | Bullet DPS | Sustained ranged damage specialist |
| Pirate King (Conqueror) | S | DPS / AoE | Haki-themed AoE clear |
| Reaver | S | DPS | Single-target burst |
| Akazo | S | Tank-DPS | Frontline brawler |
| Naho | S | Support / Buff | Buff specialist |
| Curse Queen | S | DPS / Curse stack | Stacking debuff specialist |
Bombi is the new free-to-play darling. She’s a meta-tier early-game placement unit — low cost, full AoE, reliable damage. If you’re a newer player, getting Bombi early changes your account trajectory.
Eisen and Eyes are the two reworks people are sleeping on. Both jumped multiple tiers post-Update 84 and they’re more accessible than the LastStandian and S+ premium pulls. If you have either built, max them out.
Anime Last Stand A Tier: Strong Picks That Earn Their Slot
These don’t crack Top 30 leaderboards but they comfortably clear all main content and most niche modes.
| Unit | Tier | Role | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lightning Queen | A | Support | Conquered attribute, moderate damage |
| Utah | A | DPS | Pure damage focus, subtle crit passive |
| Rios | A | DPS / AoE Stun | Cone AoE with stun |
| Fallen | A | DPS / Crit Aura | Boosts nearby crit chance |
| Aaron | A | DPS | Damage-only, limited versatility |
| Archer | A | Bullet DPS | Damage-only, niche |
| Oso | A | Flat DPS | Solid numbers, no special ability |
| Y (ground unit) | A | DPS / Weaken | Good damage with weaken effect |
| Simon | A | Godly Lead | Continues to be a staple pick |
| Beast Gohan (alt forms) | A | DPS | Drops a tier in non-Saiyan teams |
| Maki (without Yuta) | A | DPS | Duo is S+, solo is A |
| Heavy | A | Tank | Frontline tank with damage scaling |
| Sukura | A | DPS / Healer | Hybrid kit, niche |
| Kakuto | A | DPS | Combo-stack damage |
| Mid-Range Mage | A | DPS / Single-Target | Sustained DPS |
Simon is the unit I keep recommending and people keep saying is “outdated” — he’s not. His Godly Lead trait is consistently valuable across modes, and Update 84 quietly bumped his Meta Category placement. If you’ve had Simon sitting in your inventory, dust him off.
Aaron and Archer dropped to A this patch specifically because Update 84 made versatility matter more than raw damage. Both are still strong damage dealers — they just don’t bring utility, and that’s the new meta currency.
Anime Last Stand B and C Tier: Decent but Replaceable
These work in early progression and specific niches but get out-classed in the late game.
| Unit | Tier | Role | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nezuko | B+ | DPS | Old meta darling, replaceable now |
| Tanjiro | B+ | DPS | Sun Breathing combo specialist |
| Toji | B | DPS | Inverted Spear of Heaven, niche |
| Gojo (base) | B | DPS | Pre-Boku evolution |
| Megumi | B | DPS / Summons | Divine Dogs damage |
| Vegita | B | DPS | Final Flash burst |
| Kenpachi | B | DPS | Aged units fans love, lower placement |
| Kurumi | B | DPS | Old meta, outdated |
| Meliodas | B | DPS | Aged meta unit |
| Alucard | B | DPS | Older Godly, still functional |
| Kakashi | B | DPS | Sharingan combo, dated |
| Naruto (Sage Mode) | B | DPS | Pre-Six Paths form |
| Erza | B | DPS | Requip burst, niche |
| Saber | C+ | DPS | Old Excalibur user, dated |
| Ichigo (base) | C+ | DPS | Bankai-required for impact |
| Light | C | Support / Death Note | Niche kill targeting |
| Pegasus | C | Support | Card-themed support, dated |
| Levi | C | DPS / Mobility | ODM gear, mobility novelty |
| Asta | C | DPS | Anti-magic burst, niche |
| Yuno | C | DPS | Wind magic, dated |
There’s almost no D-tier in 2026. Update 84 specifically reworked six units that were languishing in lower tiers, and most “weak” units now at least function in early game progression. The actual D-tier is reserved for old common rarity starters that get power-crept by Mythics within the first hour of play.
Best Support Units Specifically Ranked (May 2026)
Damage units get all the spotlight, but support is where ALS games are actually won. Here’s the support hierarchy.
| Support | Tier | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Boku (TUI) | LastStandian | He’s also the best support, somehow |
| Angelist (Deity) | S+ | Heal + amp + CC trifecta |
| Time Goddess | S+ | Buff stacking specialist |
| Rias & Issei | S+ | Buffer duo, +120% damage |
| Naho | S | Buff specialist, easier to acquire |
| Irwin | S | Top meta non-Godly support |
| Lightning Queen | A | Conquered support, moderate damage |
| Light | C | Death Note targeting, niche |
Angelist (Deity) is the support I’d recommend for any account that’s past early game. Her heal + damage amplification + crowd control package is unmatched outside Boku himself, and she enables team compositions that struggle without her.
Naho is the underrated support pick because she’s significantly easier to acquire than the S+ tier supports. If you’re A-tier roster trying to push into raid completions, Naho is the bridge unit.
Best Money Farmers and Stallers in Anime Last Stand
ALS rewards units that aren’t just damage — money farmers fund your placements, stallers buy time during boss phases. Different tier list, same logic.
| Unit | Tier | Role | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pirate King (Conqueror) | S | Money Farm | Best money generator at endgame |
| Sukura | S | Stall / Heal | Hybrid stall + sustain |
| Yuta (in Maki & Yuta) | S | Stall | Unlimited Swords near-infinite stall |
| Frieren | S | Stall / CC | Time magic stalls bosses |
| Tank Class | A | Stall | Generic frontline stallers |
Yuta’s Unlimited Swords stall mechanic is the cleanest staller in the game right now. The duo with Maki turns it into a damage tool, but in pure stall builds Yuta’s near-infinite control is unmatched.
Update 84 Reworks: Who Actually Climbed
Six units got reworked in Update 84. Here’s what actually moved.
- Eisen went from B-tier to S-tier. The damage scaling got a multi-mode buff that gave him relevance in raid content where he was previously skipped.
- Eyes climbed from C+ to S. The rework added utility to a kit that was pure damage, which is exactly the direction the meta is moving.
- Lightning Queen got Conquered attributes baked in, pulling her from B to A.
- Utah got a crit passive added to his final evolution. Climbed from C+ to A.
- Rios got cone AoE and a stun added. B to A.
- Fallen got the crit-boost-aura passive that pushed him from C to A.
If you have any of these units sitting at lower upgrade levels, max them now. Reworked units almost always settle into their post-rework tier within 2-3 weeks.
Which Banners Are Worth Your Gems
This is the question that decides whether your account progresses or stalls. Here’s the framework.
- Always summon on: LastStandian banners (extremely rare). LastStandian is the top rarity and currently only Boku (TUI) holds the slot — but new LastStandians will drop, and they’ll all be top 5 immediately.
- Summon on: Confirmed S+ Godly banners with Top 15 Meta units (Itadoki Shrine, Angelist Deity, Maki & Yuta, Rias & Issei). These are account-defining pulls.
- Skip: Off-meta event banners with limited units that don’t make Top 30. The Valentine wave brought Yoruichi (S-tier worth pulling) and Oso (A-tier skip-able). Read the meta before opening your wallet.
- Save for: The next major update banner. Updates 85+ will introduce more LastStandians and rework the rarity system further. Don’t blow your gem reserve on incremental upgrades.
FAQs
Is Boku (TUI) actually that broken?
Yes. The LastStandian rarity exists primarily because Boku’s kit didn’t fit Godly tier scaling — he’s overtuned by design. Domain expansion + infinite damage scaling + top-tier buffs in one unit is unmatched in ALS history. Even three months post-release, no other unit comes close.
Can I clear endgame without LastStandian or S+ Godlys?
Yes, comfortably for the early-to-mid endgame content (Story, Legend, basic Raids, Survival). Late-game raids, Final Expedition, and Coronation start to require S+ tier. Bombi + Eisen + Naho is a viable F2P core that handles most content if you’re a non-spender.
What’s the difference between Meta (Top 15) and Sub-Meta (Top 30)?
Meta units are the best-of-the-best — they’re must-haves for top leaderboard performance. Sub-Meta units are the next 15 strongest, comfortably clearing all content but not quite leaderboard-pushing. The official Discord tier list maintains both lists separately because the gap matters for serious players.
Are duo units like Maki & Yuta or Rias & Issei worth the higher cost?
Yes. Both duo units pack two units’ worth of utility into one slot, which means they free up your team composition for additional damage or support. The duo bonuses (Maki & Yuta’s stall-into-damage and Rias & Issei’s +120%/-45% combo) make them more efficient than running their components separately.
Should I reroll my Techniques to get rainbow traits?
Only on your top 3 most-used units, and only after they’re already maxed. Technique Shards are a finite resource and rerolling for rainbow rolls eats them fast. Stick with green Techniques (decent but not perfect) on most units, and save rainbow rolls for your S+ tier.
Is the new Auto Reroll feature worth using?
For casual players, yes — it streamlines summons during rate-up events and keeps you progressing while you’re away from the game. For minmax players, manual rerolls let you stop on rare pulls before you blow through your gem budget on duplicates.
Will the meta change after Update 85?
Almost certainly. Update 85 is rumored to bring two new LastStandians and another mass rework wave. Boku (TUI) has been the only LastStandian for months — that’s about to change, and the new units will ship as Top 5 picks immediately. I’ll re-rank when 85 lands.
Is Shimon (Supreme Commander) still worth using in 2026?
Yes. Despite being from Update 77, Shimon’s Godly Lead and versatile damage + buffs keep him in S+ Sub-Meta. He’s especially strong in mixed-mode rotations where you need one unit covering both damage and support functions.
Wrapping Up
That’s my Anime Last Stand tier list for 2026 post-Update 84. The Boku (TUI) is the lone LastStandian and the best unit in the game, Itadoki (Shrine), Angelist (Deity), Maki & Yuta, and Rias & Issei lead the S+ tier, and Update 84 reworks gave Eisen, Eyes, Lightning Queen, Utah, Rios, and Fallen real meta relevance.
If you’re a newer player, build around Bombi for early game and chase Naho for support before any premium banner. If you’re a returning player from a couple updates ago, the rework wave probably revived units you’d shelved — check your inventory.
Tier lists shift fast in this game, especially with two-week update cycles. I’ll re-rank when Update 85 drops and the new LastStandian units land. Until then, save your gems, max your reworked units, and don’t waste rolls on banners outside Top 30.
See you in the lobby.
